Excellent forest service campground. The pit toilets were even clean and roomy! The proximity to the lake was amazing and it was right on the sleeping bear Heritage Trail. So you could ride your bike, a quick 2 miles, to the dunes climb. We lucked into no bugs mid June as well, which was nice!

This campground is great for those who want to bring their dogs camping. The beach you can walk to from the park is dog friendly. They are serious about the 20 ft limit for campers/vehicles, the sites are nice but some of the entrances seem tight. Close to Glen arbor restaurants & gas, close to dune climb and other trails. Would stay again for sure!

Very nice and quiet campground. Hasn't changed any in the last 45 years. Great beaches and camp sites still. Only thing I would change is the type of firewood available.

We love this campground! The sites are semi-private, the short walk to a beautiful Lake Michigan beach, the closeness to everything we love about this area (plenty of hiking trails, the dune climb, Glen Haven, Glen Arbor, etc.), and the friendly staff keep us coming back!

The bathrooms need to be cleaned on a regular basis. They need to be updated with a sewer system and running water with showers. This campground could be one of the best campgrounds in the nation...
