the campground host brought us bear cannisters in his golf cart. Very helpful. We came on Indian Trails with our bicycles and then took Link/BATA bus to get to the campground. All very good--but no car to store food, so cannisters were helpful.

This was my first time at Sleeping Bear Dunes and I will definitely be back. Such a beautiful area and the campground was a nice place to stay.

Surrounded in poison ivy, but otherwise a nice site. You can hear the waves from the lake. Did not work well for camping with a dog with all of the poison ivy.

Not as private/secluded as I would like. "Hike in" wasn't exactly what I expected. However, the beach and access to it is amazing!

I’ve been coming to Sleeping Bear Dunes for decades and every since it won the Good Morning America contest it’s too crowded. Not only that, another piece was recently done that revealed lesser known hiking trails by your rangers. Why reveal such things?! Our natural areas are over used now by many who don’t care about the outdoors deeply. I’ve been a back packer, hiker, cross country skier for most of my life and remember when the wild was wild. I was trained as an ecologist so am acutely attuned to detrimental changes in ecosystems. I love the area but not the hoards of people.

The campground was clean and quiet. the Beach was awesome and the water seemed warmer this year. This is my favorite place to get away. D. H. Day is the place where I learned how to truly relax. for the past 12 years, it has become my refuge from the crazy world. Please do not change a thing. No "Upgrades" are necessary. It It Absolutely perfect the way it is.
