The sites at this park are beautiful and spacious. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a very well run park. At 10P quiet hours are adhered to even when the park is full. Location provides a quick walk, drive, bike ride to Platte River for canoeing or kayaking; Platte Point for the beach and sunsets. And it's located close to all Sleeping Bear attractions. The downside is that the Park popularity makes reserving a site(s) challenging and the area attractions are overcrowded and extremely busy.

This is my favorite place to vacation to - I know the park was understaffed somewhat - but with the volunteer help and Rangers all was great - thank you!

We love this campground. It is well managed, and sites have good separation. Nice mix of trees and sun and you feel like you are away from it all. Great canoeing on the Platte, sand dunes, and the big lake!

Been coming here 30 years now. That in itself should tell you something.Trails are quite busy lately, go early or late.Park is very clean & generally quiet. A lot to do nearby. Hope pending government shutdown doesnt ruin my upcoming trip

Platte River is such a quiet and relaxing camping experience. The sites feature large spaces to park campers, and flat tent pads at each site. The bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen! There's even a camp sink to wash dishes. All in all, one of the best campgrounds I have been to.
