This campground is very nice but is several miles from the visitor center and other attractions.

This is one of our favorite places to camp. It is well maintained and the lots are spread out so you feel like you have your own space.

All sites paved and plenty of trees between sites. Each site had a paved surface for RV's and also had a tent pad which included a picnic table and fire pit. Very well done! The state of Michigan campgrounds should be this nice.

Thoroughly enjoyed this extremely well maintained and staffed campground. Showers and toilets near immaculate. Site # 324 worked out great for our 20' trailer, this was the most level trailer pad i've ever used. Fire Pit and picnic table located up and away from trailer pad may be inconvenient for some.Campfire wood vending machine was a new experience, delivers box of firestarter like wood blocks that perform as advertised. Kayak, canoe or tubing very popular at nearby Platte river and local outfitter. Beautiful Lake Michigan a short 2-3 mile drive north to a park and boat launch area, a great view of the night sky here.

A fun side trip while there when salmon are running is to visit the weir near the mouth of the North Platte River.

We kayaked the Platte and the Crystal Rivers. Absolutely beautiful! Also highly recommend the Manitou restaurant for dinner and Ursa Major (in Beulah) for breakfast.

This is the best campground for layout and ease of parking your RV. Love the separate fire pit set up. Shower/bath houses are convenient and clean. The privacy between sites is done very well also. The campground hosts are very friendly and helpful.

It would be nice if the campground was non smoking.
