This is one of our favorite Michigan campgrounds, we especially like the convivences of the N.P. Platte River canoe, kayak, launch point that is across the road from the campground entrance. That, and the reasonable 2.5-mile distance to the Lake Michigan Platte River takeout point makes self-launching & boat recovery manageable with the use of a bike Etc. to transvers between the two parking lots.

Amazing campground.....very clean and the site spaces are very private. My out of town folks loved the location and able to use all of the surrounding park amenities. Thanks so much for doing a great job.

Really nice, spacious and well-graded camp site, excellent communal bathroom facilities, pleasant and helpful staff at check in. I particularly appreciate provision of a bear cannister (we arrived on bicycles and slept in a tent).

During our stay the weather was less favorable but the staff and facilities were exceptional. Our site was level and spacious, had sufficient room to back our 30' travel trailer into position, was very quiet without much traffic and had good privacy. The Platte River Campground had several nice trails that were accessible from the campground including a nice walk out to see Lake Michigan. The location offers lots of things to see and do in a short drive from the campground. We now want to return for a longer stay when the weather is not so rainy.

Nice, large camp sites. Well treed. Flat landings. Nice framed-in tent locations. Nice fire pits with fold over grate. Power as expected. Not full hook up, but more affordable than most places. Great location and lots of stuff to see in the near area. Will go again next year and recommend to anyone.

2 trips now to this campground, and we absolutely LOVE it!! Both were fantastic and we didn't want to leave! The surrounding area is so beautiful and there's so much to do, not to mention the campground is beautiful too and very well maintained. Can't wait to go back!

Our visit was enjoyable. The site was level with a big area around fire pit and picnic table. The park trails were well marked. Very large park with many things to do. Hope to return in the future.

Beautiful campground, well maintained. The campground layout is very well designed. The location is great for all of the area outdoor activities that you would want to include with your stay. All of the National Park staff were courteous and friendly. Great experience, we will return.

Stopped during a weeklong camping trip spending 7 nights in different campgrounds around the state. This one was a favorite of ours. The sites felt very private and were enclosed with plenty of woods. No open field camping here. :) Highly Recommended!
