My family had a great time while visiting Platte River campground. Nice spacious sites, clean restrooms and lots of activities in the area. My only complaint was that I didnt book enough time for our visit, 3 days wasnt nearly long enough!

The Platte River Campground is an exceptional class A and B campground. It is clean and has very good bathrooms and showers. It is also located in a great section of the park along the Platte River. The trail to the beach is easy to hike and the beach is as good as it gets in Michigan - incredible!

The campground was excellent and had clean facilities. The location was amazing with easy access to Lake Michigan and Platte River. There is so much to see and do within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.

They need a better street address. I drove right past, yet my GPS & phone said I still had 11 miles to go. I turned around & went back. Also, I reserved my site exactly 6 months in advance (the earliest allowable), yet I was denied an electric site. 453 sites, & no electric?? 3 loops out of 4 have electric & I was denied electric? The site was nice, tho; level & large.

We were only here for one night but it was wonderful! The camp host was extremely kind, the site was beautiful, and bike friendly.

We got a ridiculous ticket from having our tire 1" off of pavement into gravel - not in ANY flora. Also, it's quite frustrating and rather a joke when you see dogs everywhere on the dunes. We obeyed the no dogs on dunes rule, but were furious watching others disobey it repeatedly. You should probably just not allow dogs into the parking lot there. People are so rude.
