Stayed in site 306 for a week. The site is nice and level. Closest to the bathroom which mean more foot traffic but convenient. The bathroom/showers were nice. The only recommendation I would give would be to have the cleaning times on a posted schedule. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason when they would clean which was a bit of a problem at times. We had a 25 day trip and this was one week of that 25 days. This park was by far the best camping of the entire trip. The state parks were all very crowded and small unlevel and unpacked sites. We would stay here again.

Beautiful campsites in the woods and near hiking trails. Easy to use tent, driveway and fire areas. Plenty of room. Very helpful and friendly forest service staff. Bath areas cleaned daily. One forester used a leaf blower to keep the the acorn on our driveway. away from our big puppy who would not stop easting them! Close to Lake Park. Great for swimming, watching the sunset and hanging out next to the lake. Between the campground and Glen Harbor are plenty of beaches for people and dogs. The water is clear and refreshing, Many beaches are sandy. Great historical sites plus a tourist shops in Glan Harbor. The Manitou Restaurant and the St. Ambrose Cellars great places to eat and enjoy yourself!

The size and privacy of the campsites are amazing. We "tent" so it is especially nice that the campground offers groomed space for tent set up at each site. The bathrooms are always clean and supplied. We drove up to Glen Arbor for the first time and I enjoyed the art galleries there immensly. We also spent time on the dock at Loon Lake as the sun slipped low and enjoyed the quiet serenity offered there. It is a challenge however to get a space here but it is worth the effort.
