Shaded campsite with easy access to facilities. Hot water in bathroom. Pleasant area to walk

Campground is excellent and clean. Several good hiking trails close by. Fun shopping at Glen Arbor and Frankfort. Beautiful sunset at Point Betsie.

Beautiful area and this year we came early in the summer before the crowds. Campsites are wooded, and while not fully private you do have a woodsy feel and a bit of visual barrier between you and the next site.

This was a beautiful and peaceful campground. So nice to fall asleep to the sounds of owls.

The campsites are much bigger and provide more privacy than at the state parks. It is a beautiful setting. It was disappointing that the quiet times were not adhered to. There were many young children and adults making a lot of noise past 11pm.

an absolutely wonderful NPS run campground! we found a last minute camp spot last night and with our parks pass, only cost $13! each campsite is huge: parking spot (big enough to fit a large van), a section with a picnic table and fire pit (we had a campfire-made food-strung up a hammock, and they have a second section in the back for a tent! hot showers, clean flushing toilet bathrooms, a camp sink, and water refill stations! the campsite was booked, tons of sweet families with kids, but it was so quiet and peaceful. we had our dog with us. i wish we could stay longer! we would absolutely stay here again! :)

This was an outstanding campground. The bathrooms with shower and dish sink looked new. The sites were well spaced with trees surrounding every site for privacy. Each site also had adequate space for vehicles and multiple tents. Nice walking trail to Lake Michigan borders the campground. Cell service (ATT) fairly strong in campground. A bit of a drive (approx. 15 min) for supplies like food, ice and gas. A bit further than that to main attractions of the Park, unless you are boating on Platte river.

Perfect combination of beautiful surroundings with camping necessities close by! The 24-hour firewood vending machine is very handy. For casual camping, it seems pretty hard to beat this campground. The hike-in sites would also be good for those who want to be a little more remote and not have amenities at their fingertips.

Very nice campground with great staff. We are from Tennessee and found the facilities very clean and well cared for. The sites were not too close and were well designed for a great outdoors experience. We loved spending time at the beach and tubing.
