Very difficult to get sites. Needed to move 3 times in 5 nights, but what a beautiful place. Top of the heap in every category!

This is a beautiful quiet campground with plenty of room between sites. There are great trails and it is close to the river, the Lake and the dunes.

Platte River Campground is a beautiful, heavily wooded area with widely placed campsites. The campgrounds were quiet after dark and the modern facilities were clean and convenient. There is a beautiful trail accessible from the campground that goes out to Lake Michigan. My only grievance is the "firewood" they sell is compressed fiber logs that burn up very quickly. If you want to have a long-burning fire I would suggest buying some real firewood from an approved vendor beforehand.

Beautiful!! Great campsites! Nice bathroom and showers. Nice hike to the gorgeous Peterson Beach. We stayed on loop 3 and couldnt have been more pleased.

Campground was nice. Reason for 2 star rating was due to the office staff. Went to office to add a day to stay . I was told I could go online to add a day. I had no cell service in campground and the internet connection at the office was so slow it made making new reservation difficult. There were two office workers and me in the office at the time of my request.
