Website for booking reservations is a bit confusing with the arrival and departure dates, rather than focussing on which nights you're staying

Very nice and quiet campground. Clean bathrooms and showers. Large sites but most didn't seem designed for RV's with the picnic table and fire pit usually behind the parking pad rather than next to it, so you couldn't utilize your awning very well. Some sites had the fire pit on the opposite side of where the door and awning would be for an RV. The pull through sites seemed to be the best designed for a trailer/RV.

Great place to camp. Lots to do in the area with Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Lelanau, Frankfort, and Travers City close by. Very difficult to book sites here, very popular. However many empty sites that people must rent and not shoe because they are full on sign. We especially love the beach spot where the Platte River flows into Lake Michigan with Sleeping Bear Dunes in th background. A senior National Park Pass is a big plus here with perks like parking and discounts.
