Beautiful campground, sites are great, bathrooms clean.Wood pretty pricey.Grandkids did ranger badge and some programs.Lived it.

Clean campground. Very busy. Sites are closer to each other than expected, but much better than State Parks. Have to travel to get to water.

There are many towns further north of the campground in the Leelanau Peninsula that are worth visiting.

Such spacious sites! Really had a quiet and peaceful time there. Pull thru was an added bonus. Electrical in site and potable water/ dumps quite easy to access. Very large but no commercial feel. Great!

The campsites are so spacious and the bathrooms are always clean. We love all the activities available within the Sleeping Bear Lakeshore.

We stayed in loop 1, site 139. We loved our time at Platte River Campground and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Sites are electric, but no water or sewer. We were able to stay 8 nights with no problem with careful water management. The dump station is easily accessible even by big rigs. The campground, restrooms, and showers are kept very clean. Can't wait to go back!

we like the way the campsites are laid out with more privacy then a lot of campgrounds. The restrooms and showers are well maintained and clean. The location cannot be beat.

Sites are spacious, bathrooms are clean. Must do floats on the Platte River and the beach at Platt River Point Beach. Awesome place for sunset photos.

campground is paved. bring a bike. great trail runs through the entire SBSD park. hike the trail down to the lake. Riverside canoe/kayak is excellent. Pierce Stocking and Pyramid Point are great.

Was our first trip to Platte River CG and was very nice . Great area to bicycle , walk the beach or fish .
