Really grateful to all the staff and volunteers working during the shutdown to keep the campgrounds and National.Park open.

The campground was clean and well kept. Our site (123) was level and easy to get in and out of. We had a bit of extra pedestrian traffic since the path to the trail was next to our site. The closest restroom/shower was under renovation so we had to walk a ways to get to the shower but the shower was clean and hot. We had a good hike to the lakefront and back.

The park was nice and clean, well taken care of. I do think a fish cleaning site, should remain open for us late fall fishermen. Pretty inconvenient.

We loved this campground. So close to Platte River. Very clean shower and dish wash facility. Stayed in site 123, however, the prior occupants of our site did NOT clean up after their pet. Dog Poop everywhere.

Sleeping Bear Dunes is great for the whole family. River tubing trips, dune climbs, beautiful beaches. Platte River campground is well maintained and the ambience is amazing.

Have always loved the area from Platte River up through the Sleeping Bear Dunes area, the Leelanau, and Traverse City. October offered a delightful new experience. We lucked out on weather, and the hiking was great.

Beautiful area. One of my favorite spots and I hope I can go back one day soon. I especially like that the campground was not people stacked on top of each other. There was woodsy area between each site. The beach and walk to the beach was enchanting. One day soon, I will find a way to get back there and spend more than a couple days there.
