We camp A LOT and this is by far one of the BEST campgrounds we have been to. The sites are huge. I love how if you have pets there is enough space so they can be tied a little distance from your camper, there is also enough room where if you bring camping games, you have plenty of room without tripping into a fire pit or bumping into your camper. There is bathrooms, CLEAN bathrooms, every so many campsites, we had one right across from ours and then when you looked past the campers behind us there was another. Its close to a lot of hiking trails and beaches. Very pleased, definitely will be back and recommending.

Nice campground. Easy drive north to go to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. But you can also access Lake Michigan itself from the campground. There's a good trail there.

We have been camping here for 23 years. We love it as much every time. We have increased in numbers because everyone who comes with us falls in love with it. The Platte River is beautiful. THIS my happy place year round.
