The campground was great. It is centrally located, easy to get in & out of. It offers clean & convenient restrooms, as well as a camp sink. The spots have trees, but you aren't secluded. We would absolutely stay here again.

We prefer staying in NFS parks. This may become one of our favorites. The power and bath houses were a bonus, but not a necessity for us. The most important feature of this park is the pump-out station. It was nice to be able to get water upon arrival and to pump out after check-out. Great staff.

The park was great-- The white-haired female staff that checked us in was rude, unfriendly and absolutely should not be working with travelers. I heard from many other guests they had the same experience.

Site 215 is an on the inside of the loop but is large and private. Love the El Dorado put in for kayaks and the trails are nice.

The campsites are large and private. There are so many outdoor activities in the area: biking trails, hiking, kayaking the Upper Platte, floating down the Lower Platte. Traverse City is nearby with great wine tasting if the weather isn't great for outdoor activities. We were there for 6 fun-filled days and didn't do it all.

We absolutely fell in love with the Platte River campground. Very well maintained, excellent amenities, quiet and beautiful. The Ranger Rachel, who swore our kids in as junior rangers, was really knowledgeable and kind! Great trip for the family and we will be back.

Platte River campground is an excellent place to stay. The lots aren't too close to each other, and the is beautiful wilderness everywhere. The rangers and hosts were very friendly and helpful. There is a variety of stores and canoe liverys nearby, and of course the dunes! They are so worth the trip.
