We love it here. Loop 4 is very quiet and the sites are large and private.

We have been coming to this park when it was a State a Park before the Feds purchases the property back in the early 70’s. It’s an amazing location having the Platte Rive and Lake Michigan part of the park.

We were only there for one night but it was a beautiful, clean and quiet campground. We LIVED the walk to the Lake to see sunset

Ive been to the Platte River Campground many times and its always a good experience. I prefer Loop 4 as the sites are farther apart than the other 3 loops but theres no electric, however. The Sleeping Bear Dunes area offers a lot to do from biking or hiking trails to doing the Dune Climb to canoeing or kayaking or driving the Scenic Drive when open.

Camped here way back the first summer this campground opened, took this long to get back, not waiting that long again, one of the best campgrounds in the State of Michigan.
