Spent a wonderful two nights here and enjoyed scavenging for wood to make a fire, taking a short hike to the shores of Lake Michigan, and exploring the Dunes. Would definitely recommend!

The facilities are kept up and there were regular patrols to make sure campers were following rules which made for an excellent family camping experience. Thanks so much!

The best campsites we have ever stayed at; our beloved Platte River Campground and Sleeping Bear Dunes fills us up every summer!

Sleeping Bear Dunes is a neat place. If it's foggy, be sure to go back to the overlooks when the fog clears - you get a totally different view. Also, the Platte River is a nice float, either in a canoe, kayak, tube, or SUP board. Clear water and lots of fish and birds. Clean toilets and showers. Nice campground.

We have visited this campground many times over the years and they have a very nice setup for all types of camping{tents, campers, rv's. The tent pads are nice for the ones with tents. Nice restrooms and showers. Plenty of activity close by, there is the Platte river for tubing or canoeing, rentals or bring your own. Nice lake Michigan beachfront close by with clean sandy beaches. There are a few hiking trails also. Not far from the Sleeping Bear dunes National lake shore park. Many nice sites to visit in the area. The biting flies at the beach can be a pain at times and mosquitoes at the campsite can get very hungry if you do not have something to keep them away! Overall it is a very nice place to stay and visit for awhile!
