Great campsite, we stayed at site 27. Would stay here again. It was very private with easy access to the beach!

There should be recycling available. Barking dogs should not be allowed period!! It is not not fair to the dogs or the other campers. Beautiful views of Lake Superior. Please repair the steps to reduce erosion of the dunes.

Beautiful campsites, spectacular scenery. We explored nearby waterfalls, our favorite was Sable falls. Also enjoyed lunch at Superior brewery in Grand Marais.

Tent site are spaced far enough part that we didn’t hear our neighbors and the spud of the waves throughout the night was splendid.

I loved this campground. The sites on the beach side are awesome. Love being able to hear the water when I sleep and walk right down to the beach. Also great trees to hang hammocks at the edge overlooking the water. Facilities are clean and the campground is very well taken care of. A couple hikes you can take right out is the campground.

Camped here 14 Nov. 2020. No snow due to recent heat wave, ground was bare, drove in. Campground was 10% full, quiet and lots of space, very nice. Unfortunate that all the pit toilets were barred shut. Spent one very nice day by Lake Superior, hiked the trail along the coast. Rained a quarter inch that night, with temperatures near 40F. Decided to drive home the next day, as it remained rainy and windy and chilly, and my gear was already damp, with no good way to dry out.

Just a beautiful wild area with a lot of hiking options. Site overlooking Lake Superior whipped wild by the wind was way cool

Recreation.gov calendar showed all reservations booked solid, but many sites were abandoned understandably because of rainy wet weather. Are these abandoned sites, still reserved, then made available to other campers?
