Clean facilities and a gorgeous view. I just wish I was able to stay longer.

We enjoyed this campground so much. The beach access and lake views were spectacular. There is drinking water available and the restrooms were the cleanest campground restrooms we've ever seen. The camp host was so friendly and the campground was extremely quiet and peaceful even though almost every site was full. Be prepared for lots of sand in your tent!

Our site (9) was beautiful, it was very spacious and the sites are fairly spaced out so youre not crammed next to everyone else. Easy(ish) access to the Lake Superior shoreline (we just walked down the sand hillside) and great views of it from this site - would recommend!

We visited during a chilly weekend in June. The highs were around 50 with lows around 45. This cool weather meant we saw only a couple mosquitoes during the entire visit. If this is what the forecast looks like for your visit, just be sure you’ve packed your cold weather gear. The cool air combined with a persistent breeze from the lake is colder than this temperature in a more enclosed site. One of the staircases from the campground down to the beach is broken, but there are two others available - check the map before heading down. Overall wonderful visit, nice neighbors and the bathroom was one of the cleanest vault toilets I’ve seen. Stop for firewood along the road before you arrive, and plan on not having service until you leave the campground.

Spectacular location, right on Lake Superior. Our, and many of the sites, are right on the lake. Heavily wooded and well kept. We came to see the rocks but the weather was not accommodating. The waves were 6 feet and they canceled all boat tours both Saturday and Sunday. No worries, we on a hike to Mosquito falls and had a wonderful time. Make sure you have ice and firewood. It is a long drive to a store to find ice and firewood is only available through local resident's road-side offerings. The only recommendation for the camp group would be to have better access to purchase fire wood.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
