Absolutely beautiful! Sites were great, everything (bathrooms, etc) was cleaned and maintained every day, access directly to the beach

Beach breezes kept our lakefront site cool (a better bonus in summer than spring) and would help minimize mosquitos. The site was spacious, level, and wooded with a view of the lake and quick access to a walk in the woods or stairs down to stroll on the beach, which is strewn with colorful rocks. A lovely stay!

We love camping at 12 Mile Beach! Its our favorite campground in Michigan! The sites are large, beautifully located and are in gods shape. They keep the vault toilets in good shape and stocked. Its so nice to be right in the shore of Lake Superior!

By far the best campground in Picture Rocks National park if you love Lake Superior.
Very rustic no cell service off grid camping.
Sites are large and spaced apart.
Hike to your hearts content.

The campsite was great. Could see Lake Superior from the tent/campfire area. Other campers very friendly. The ranger and host were extremely nice.

Right in the water- beautiful! Dive and hike to Sable Falls, Log Slide, Miner's Falls, Miner's Castle, Au Sable Point. Be sure to do the boat tour!

The campsites are separated and well laid out.
The sunsets are truly world class at this location as well as the natural surroundings.
The only issue was an incident from site 6 who ran a generator till midnight one night and the next night till just past eleven.
One other party on site 4 played music well after 10.00 pm and the gentleman from site 1 asked them to cease and they did.
We love this area and use to come here 25 years ago and it was very rustic but quite.
We stopped coming because it was not a reservable system yet and just very busy.
After this experience we will come again but only in May.

Our host Ray was very hospitable and offered any help that we may need.Great to have the reservation system first come first serve policy was chaotic.On beautiful Lake Superior how could it be any better.

This was a very nice rustic campground with lots of privacy and serenity. The sunset view of Lake Superior was amazing. We brought our camper and we had site# 5 which was a lakefront site. We were here August 2020 and would definitely recommend this campground.
