Absolutely fantastic campground! We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and played on the beach. It was perfect for my family.

Super beautiful sites on the lake. Very quiet. The facilities have been updated since we were there several years ago. Nice, clean, restrooms. Highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful camp sites sitting up on the bluffs overlooking Lake Superior. Clean and modern pit toilets. The only disappointment was the stairs leading down to the beach were in disrepair and to access the beach one had to climb down the dunes. Hope they fix them soon, so the dunes don't suffer from people on them. A magical place that we will definitely visit again. There are 2 sections, one for generators allowed. No hook ups

The area is absolutely beautiful. I wish the campsites were spread out further, or there were less sites. The sites were all well maintained. When I was there the pit toilets were being replaced. There was only one working toilet. Poor planning by the Park Service. The work could have been done a week or two earlier when no campers were there. We were told to "use the woods" which I as did all the other campers.

Wonderful campsite (site 29) with water view. Well maintained and each site had some privacy with woodland surroundings.Beach was fantastic!

This campground is quiet and beautiful. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there needs to be more access for the non-generator sites to the beach; one of the staircases was damaged and they have yet to replace it. You have to travel to the other end if you want to use the stairs or hoof it up one of the sand banks. Other than that, the restrooms were cleaned and the trash was taken daily. I would definitely try to stay here again but reservations are a battle.

Beautiful campground, great location. There is pretty much zero signal, so prepare ahead of time

Nice quiet location. Large campsites with a lot of trees for privacy.

Very peaceful, the drive into the campground in the fall is like no other. Beach a couple feet away doesn’t get much better than that! There’s a trail that goes for a couple miles within the campground along the beach. Closest place for supplies is roughly 30 min away into town.

This campground is beautiful! The faculties were clean and well-maintained. We loved falling asleep to the sound of Lake Superior’s crashing waves.

We loved 12 mile beach campground! Watched 2 beautiful sunsets over Lake Superior spectacular! The beach was beautiful and quiet. Lots to do and see in Picture Rock can’t wait to go back!

We had an amazing camping experience here! We spent the entire week at site 29 in our 17’ camper. It and our truck fit perfectly in the spot, and the proximity to the beach was the icing on the cake. It’s a beautiful, quiet little campground (seriously, very quiet) and everyone we ran into was very nice and respectful. It is a bit of a drive to Munising or Grand Marais, but that’s one of the main reasons we chose this campground— to get away! Luckily we brought our solar hookup and propane to last the whole week. We would recommend this campground to anyone!

Beautiful campground on the shore of Lake Superior. We will be going back for a longer stay.
