Twelve Mile Beach is my favorite Michigan campground. Beautiful spot. Wonderful beach walking possible.

I expected more. The site was an ok size with average privacy. We expected to have beach access from our site (Site 26) but the path just led to a view of the beach with a huge dropoff. We walked down to the nearest set of stairs to the beach and they were closed off with caution tape because a tree had fallen on them and destroyed the lower half. There was no sign explaining where another close access point was. Additionally, there was no host on duty for check in (Sept. 25), there was no firewood available for sale, and in the morning we could very noticeably smell the nearby toilet facilities from our site. We were happy to have only booked a one-night stay.

The campsite was clean and quite. Exactly what we were looking for. The camp host was very nice and helpful. This camp ground was fantastic. There was no data or electricity at this campground which is exactly what we wanted.

Beach was great. Fairly quiet and calm for memorial day weekend. Bring hand sanitizer because the bathrooms just aren't equipped with it.

Terrific location, very easy access to the beach. Good facility. The only thing that could be improved is the site number, which is hard to see if you arrive at night.

What a beautiful place! We stayed in one of the beach side sites with a trailer and four young kids. We've done our fair share of camping, mostly in Colorado where we're from, but Twelvemile beach campground is probably the best place we've camped as a family. Such an awesome beach, the kids loved playing in the soft sand and building things with the smooth rocks. We spent the evenings on the beach watching the sun swt and we were blessed with great clear weather while we were there. I wish we lived closer so we could come again!

Site 26 was a good site. Though a smaller site it Kept us out of wind.
