We loved our stay in the lower section right across from the lake! Easy access to swimming and sunsets and beautiful hike to lighthouse and log slide. Facility very clean. Just beautiful!

Beautiful, primitive, quiet. Walk the beach, check out the shipwrecks. Hike to the lighthouse. Take a snack and something to drink, the view from the point is beautiful. Wear lightweight long pants and long sleeved shirt to keep the biting flies from making you miserable. This campground is the best!

Great location for backpacking. Nice site for a tent right along the North Country Trail. Water at nearby trail head. Pit toilets were not the nicest I've been to but we're adequate.

Being a Hurricane River campground is peaceful and it's like having your own private beach! Nice little hike to lighthouse. Lake Superior is amazing. Make sure do a kayak so you can be up close to Pictured Rocks.

Very nice rustic campground, clean vault restrooms, awesome tent sites wide drives for vehicles! Nice and quiet! Will definitely go again.

Campsites were very nice. We stayed at #9. #10 has a view of water if you position your tent that way. Loved being across the road from the lake with the sounds of the waves as you fall asleep. We went early (May 19-21) and we found no trail maps at campground entry or camp wood to buy. We had to buy wood at some roadside place. Many small roadside spots were still closed being it was so early in the season so be prepared and buy some before you enter park area. No cell service, which was ok for us but if you need it don’t plan on it. Vault bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Bear boxes located throughout park to store food for people who didn’t camp with a car. Campsite also has bear proof garbage boxes. Just would have been nice to have a trail map for our hikes. Would definitely stay here again.
