Large tent platform. Sites visibly shielded from one another by trees, lending a sense of privacy. Easy access to a beautiful lake and lakeshore.

Very peaceful, beautiful sites that felt very private. Easy walking distance from the beach at Lake Superior and to a 1.6mi tail leading to the Lighthouse.

No cell service whatsoever, which was great, just be prepared for that. We’d made our reservation but didn’t print out exact site so it took a while to determine which spot was ours!

Also would recommend going in Early October, as the leaves were still beautiful when we went in late October but it was just a shave chilly in the 30’s at night.

This is the third year with the same hosts. They seemed relatively uninvolved. Friendly, but never around. not even in the campground half the time. The campground was rustic which is what like. would like dogs on the north country trail.
Thanks for the rangers and the work they do around the camp.
