We were in site 12 - a pull thru. Friendly host, pleasant campground, some nice walks and quiet spaces to enjoy. Easy to reach from I-5, this was my second time staying here for an overnight.

Very convenient , close to I-5 when traveling. Yet quiet, clean, and well organized.

Always a perfect stop when heading down I5. Nice to have some walking/running trails nearby

Booking the campsite was super easy and all of the information was sent to my email so I could easily access it. The site was well taken care of and beautiful along the Sacramento River. Would stay here again!

Utilities are in very good condition. Following record rainfalls, grounds were well-drained and not muddy. Sites are well-space and large. Easy access for larger vehicles.

The CG looks like a city park that someone built campsites in. Lots of green grass. Road is narrow and one way and because we had a pull-thru on the left our door was facing into the road instead of the site. There was a young tree in our site with branches overhanging the site making it difficult to get in. There are also lots of low hanging branches over the road. Even at 13ft high we were scraping some of them. There was a camp host and they were nice. Maintenance is lacking here. And what maintenance is done is half-baked. (I wanted to use another word here!) And work done is not to code. Restroom was mostly clean, but no one cleans above 5ft high nor do they properly clean otherwise there would not be hard water stains. You need a code to get into the bathroom. The showers get warm, and take quarters. But there is no sign telling you that it takes quarters or tokens or how many for how long. I got about 4 minutes per quarter. There are tons of hand written (poorly written) signs taped up everywhere. Very unprofessional. The only plus for me was that I did see armed law enforcement rangers patrolling the campground. Made me feel better given the sketchy people coming in. There is a gate that is supposed to lock at night. I even got an email with the gate code. But someone has run over the post so there is no way to unlock the gate and no one looks like they are interested in fixing it.

Extremely helpful and welcoming Camp Host. Bathrooms were very clean and well stocked. Showers took quarters, and were also very clean!! Campground was kept clean as well. Camped near camp host. She was very friendly and asked if we needed anything or had any issues to let her know. We liked that the bathrooms had a code for using. This way, only those were camping could use that facility. Camp was quiet at night. We were there for 3 nights in the middle of the week.

Staff were helpful, bathrooms were clean, and showers had good water pressure (just remember to bring some quarters).

Very nicely kept campground. Hosts really care about the upkeep and it shows. Enjoyed two rainy nights in January and loved it... we'll be back.

Nice clean campground. Went during Mew Years weekend so grounds were pretty empty. Host was available and very welcoming. Overall very nice time.

What a gem! I was just looking for a place to spend the night while traveling in my motor home. Great place to get a break from the driving with really great walking trails. I would have stayed another day except that I was looking to beat the weather to my home.

What a beautiful place, and right on the river. Sycamores, Oaks, Pine, you're camping in a beautifully canopied area with manicured green beneath...so nice to walk barefoot on. The road and all campsites are paved and their pull through sites are just big enough for a 30' motorhome pulling a vehicle, so if you're in a real BIG land yacht pulling anything, the sites may not be big enough (44ft max). Be that as it may, I reserved a pull through site with electric and water (which was pristine and tasty) hookups. Luckily for me the spot was the most level in the camp, as I haven't yet mastered leveling my 30' motorhome, so it was easy to set up. The campsite itself was quite roomy, all of them are, so even if this place was fully booked, there's plenty of green space between camps to not feel at all cramped or crowded. The camp host was kind and helpful when needed. I will definitely camp here again.
The site is clear and quiet. But I cannot get into the bathroom. The code was wrong. And and the man's shower was broken.

The trails and environment at Sycamore Grove are excellent. So many birds! Unfortunately the campground has seen better days. We reserved site 12 in mid-April 2021. Across from us was an overflowing dumpster and porta toilets with dirty diapers all around them. Noisy groups and generators running all night added to the lack of care of the campground, and to the lack of respect for rules and others. All in all, Sycamore Grove is worth a day trip, but due to neglect of the campground (even though there is a host), I would not recommend overnight visits.

Nice park with a lot to see and do. Not crowded.
@CeciliaL828· Camped on Mar 29, 2021 at Campsite #12
it's a bit crowded but everybody was respectful with limiting noise at night, There are no showers although the park fees have remained the same . Prior to covid there were showers, I don't see why the showers are locked when other parks that opened , kept their showers open.

We were dissatisfied with the conditions in the camp. We were there 6 weeks before our last visit and there were the same tents -tarps there with people who looked like they had been there a long time. It is getting the appearance of homeless camps. We used to love it as the location was perfect for our trek back and forth from the north to the south. We won’t be back
We liked the location of the campground to the Sacramento River and the town of Red Bluff. It seemed like it was a great place to hold up for the night while traveling through Northern California. The campground host needed to sale firewood.

Mobile Data Speed Map

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
