The campsites were clean and had plenty of space to set up tents. The port-a-potties were stocked with paper but not with hand sanitizer. It rained the night we stayed but we sent our tents on a rise and were not flooded out. The fire pit and grate worked well for cooking dinner and roasting smores. Sharpsville is ~10 minutes away if you need something there is a general store on the northside of town. The walk down to the river is steep but there are ropes to help you climb up and down. A great spot to relax or stopover when visiting the Antietam Battlefield.

Site was ok. No problems. Not sure why it cost $20 when the free campsites I used the next 8 nights on the C&O were pretty much the same

Campsite 9/10The Antietam Creekside Campsite is a great place to camp. Unfortunately, our visit coincided with a week of inclement weather, forcing us to book an Airbnb for the first two nights. Once we settled into our campsite for the third and fourth nights, we faced the challenge of rain and mud.One particular issue we encountered was excessive noise from campsite 8. Kids were yelling and crying throughout the night, and someone was hacking wood with an axe late at night, which was quite disruptive. On the other side of things, we did have diverse groups of hikers and bikers along the path during the weekend passing through. This is to be expected, as the area is popular for outdoor activities more so during the weekends. On the fourth night, we had the campsite to ourselves, possibly due to the weather conditions. I would highly recommend staying again during better weather conditions during the weekdays.

Excellent campground for bike riding on the C&O Canal or touring Antietam Battlefield.

Loved our time here. Right on the river. Im sure at certain times of the year there can be a lot of foot traffic due to the C&O trail, over all great location, clean, easy, tons of wild life. Will definitely be back.

Lovely spot by the Potomac. Only question was would the pump actually produce water had we needed it and I gave up after many pumps. Other than that, we quite enjoyed the campsite and location.

Perfect for car camping. $20 was a little steep for no running water. Only one site had a river view.

The campsites are very nice and very pretty. A long paved path runs alongside the sites, so you can walk a long ways and enjoy the area. The only thing I'll say is that the camp manager site, is right across the road from the sites and they have a huge, very bright lampost, that stays on all night. So if you want the experience of actually camping in the dark, and not having a light shine in your eyes/into your tent, choose a site at either end of the row. The middle ones all get drenched in that light.

Plenty of spots to camp, and composting bathrooms are open into November. Walk or bike along the C&O Canal during the day. You will have to walk your gear to your campsite from the road, as parking is on the shoulder of Canal Road. A small wagon can help, but isn't necessary. Its a great campsite, and you'll have a great time!

I was stoked there was a campsite available for the 4th of July weekend. The site was clean and easily accessible. The website said every other campsite would be open due to COVID-19, however that wasn't the case when we arrived. No big deal though, the campsites are spaced far enough apart that it wasn't concerning at all. The proximity to the river is hard to beat. Every site had its own trail to the river except for my particular site's trail, #10, was a little too over grown. Again, no problem because the site next to us let us use their trail. Overall, we had a great experience. Definitely plan to return when it cools down a bit!

Off season and very quiet. Only ones there. Toilet areas were clean and supplied. Sites were flat with fire ring and barbecue. Some fire rings also had a barbecue rack on them. Nice overlooking the river.

Great experience. I wish there was at least one large garbage dumpster at the entrance.
