Camp sites are very close to each other and not very private.Toilets were clean and camp grounds are in hood condition

The campground was quite empty this time (July 18-20). Only a couple other sites occupied. There was no campground host, which ended up being just fine. Port-o-Johns were clean, the campground was quiet, pump handles were on for water...really no complaints. My only request would be a way to obtain firewood those who can't bring their own (traveling by bicycle, for example). I love being able to make a reservation at this campground vs. the hiker-biker sites along the trail.

We greatly enjoyed a gentle family time--four generations in two sites--ample space between campers but high fun energy in the air. Bikers, hikers, boaters enjoying themselves. We were just chilling this weekend highlighted by my sons playing guitar around the campfire. On other trips, we have canoed on Antietam Creek (taking out at the campground), canoed on the Potomac (also taking out at the campground), biked down to Harpers Ferry for the day and come back to camp, and, one September, picked Paw Paws (a native fruit Jefferson was fascinated by).I find the aqueduct just southeast of the campground to be fascinating--the kids liked the idea of a swimming pool on top of a bridge to get the canal boats over the creek. On this trip, a few minutes after we broke camp, we were touring the Antietam battlefield. Thanks.

The campground itself was beautiful, our site was awesome. Unfortunately there were a lot of very disrespectful campers and there was no enforcement of rules. The noise was insane. We were kept up all night and woken up at 5 am the morning. It would have been a perfect weekend if not for others inconsideration of the spaces around them. We might not come back here for future trips, just to avoid the people.

Very crowded/populated; I didnt love that it wasnt drive up and camp, we had to bring our things to the campsite back and forth. Clean site. Wish there was at least one more bathroom. Potomac river was beautiful.

Amazing! I would recommend Antietam Creek campground to anyone that wants to enjoy the great outdoors. If you like to walk/bike the canal or do a little fishing, this is the place to be. The family and I loved it so much we're planning our next trip. I would advise anyone that has any problems walking to get a campsite in the lower numbers, the walk to the Porta pots is a tad bit long from the higher numbers. Lastly I want to mention the camp host. This gentleman was so nice, he rode by on his bike everyday and waved or stopped in for a quick minute to say hi and let us know if we needed anything to please let him know.
First time impressions are everything, this place did not disappoint.

Antietam Creek was clean and well laid-out. Although the campsites were a little close together, each has stunning views of the Potomac River.

Two of my sons and I stayed at Site #16 for two nights. We enjoyed biking on the tow path and (unsuccessful) fishing in the river and the creek. The site was clean as were the bathrooms. Not the quietest of camp sites as there is road noise and trains throughout the night. But, would stay there again.
