It was quiet and easily marked. The walk from the parking areas is nominal. The trees ("fully leafed") did obstruct my view of the river but that's expected and there are little cut outs so you walk down to the river edge. It was not as buggy as I imagined it would be. There were two other sites occupied both of which were quiet. Early morning joggers/walkers did start coming by around 630am but they too were quiet. The campsites are about 25 yards from the walking trail so privacy during daylight hours should not be expected. Would definitely camp there again if I found myself in that area again (I was traveling to NY from NC). Pete's Tavern in town has cheap beer and nice people.

Facilities were clean and well kept. Campsite was nice, set down a little of a hill but on a flat area right next to the water.

Overall great experience at this campground. We stayed in site 12 and I mainly wanted to give pros and cons of this specific site in my review to help other campers pick a site. Parking is on the main road beside the campground and you have to walk across a bridge to get to the sites- the bridge is near site 9, so site 12 was decently close to our car. It was nearly impossible to go down the bank to get to the river at site 12, it was very steep. Also from the walking/bike path down to site 12 was steep, there were definitely other sites with a shorter and less steep walk to the actual site (mainly sites 1-9). That being said, site 12 was a very large space and had plenty of distance from neighboring sites. You could easily fit 4+ tents in this area, it was also very shaded with trees. Restrooms are located near sites 6/7, they were maintained and not disgusting. Campsite host was friendly and minded his own, great location near Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown.

I didn't realize your car is not parked near your site. There is a creek between the parking (on the side of the road) and your tent site. Unfortunately during my stay a few of the guests did not respect the quiet hours and were collecting wood from other people's campsites at 12:30AM while also talking quite loudly. The campground host is on the other side of the street and could not have possibly heard the loud guests and therefore wasn't able to intervene. Additionally an airport is nearby and planes fly over constantly as well as loud boats early in the AM. The sites are sort of on top of each other and the trek down to the river from my site (12) was washed out and difficult without using hands and feet. Will not be returning to this campground again. There is a nice walking trail along the Potomac, but bring bug spray.

This was my first time using this app and campsite. Overall the experience was wonderful. It was booked last minute as we were driving to the location. The sites host was very wonderful to deal with. The location is in a nice secluded area and the creek is down a steep embankment. Well worth the trip!

Parking at this campground is on the side of a street which you have to cross a little bridge that takes you to the campground. We brought a wagon which helped to haul our gear to the site. Without the wagon we would have had to make many trips to carry it all. Even though we reserved our site, there was no note saying it was reserved and no where to check in. The site was clean but be warned there are daddy long legs EVERYWHERE. They were crawling all over our tent at night and on the picnic table. Each site has a nice view of the river but sites dont have many trees to offer privacy.

Between the Tow Path and Potomac and great camp site. Interesting to ride the path or just sit and watch folks go by. All quiet....except two nights in a row..around 2 AM until 3, some local with no muffler on his truck driving back and forth on the straight section of road nearby Had to chuckle as he was either lost going somewhere or coming home..or out making America Great......again.....Antietam Battlefield a must see.

Great place overall, however not as quiet at night as I thought it would be. A lot more cars were passing by and the camp was close to the road

This is a beautiful campsite right by river. We had a good time. It was peaceful and there werent many bugs around (only spiders... big big spiders). If you are a hiker or biker, be aware that the nearest store is 4 miles away so dont count on buying firewood or other supplies from a local store. The bathrooms were also clean.

Nice location on the river and the tow path. No showers so some kind of access to the river would have been nice to be able to cool off in the hot weather. Glad to have purified water available but the iodine purification made it very unpalatable.
