Great access right off the Ches. Ohio Canal; very convenient.

We had a good time. Site 5 could use a little better path to the river but everything was good.

The physical site was fine, but the ground was quite bumpy. It made it quite challenging to get comfortable. The other guests at some of the sites were an issue. Guests from at least two other sites were loud and swinging their lights around wildly, blinding anything in their path. We were lying out trying to gaze at the starts, and were flashed in the eyes multiple times. It hurt and was quite frustrating.

Came in around 1 am. The grounds are self check-in. Youre given a number with your reservation to call if theres squatters, which we had no issue with, so it seems that people respect this reservation process. The site seems to attract good people, our neighbors respected quiet hours, and a neighboring couple approached us upon arrival asking if wed lost a dog. They subsequently took care of the lost dog and housed him until animal control could handle it the next day, super nice people. The ground is relatively level and the facilities are clean.

While sites are on the river there is a steep bank that makes access difficult. There may be a different way to get to river but I didnt find one. Keep in mind there are no showers . Also not a drive up kind of place so have to drag stuff a little ways across a bridge. Otherwise a lovely campground. Very serene and peaceful.

A well-maintained campground that made for a pleasant stop while cycling the C&O. It was a quick, but uphill ride to Sharpsburg and the Antietam National Battlefield Park. For best views of the river, I suggest either sites #7 or #8.

Peaceful and pretty, but no showers

Was not aware had to traverse a 10 foot deep ditch to access campsite. Not a big deal when it's dry. But when it's been pouring down rain for 12 hours and packing up a campsite, terrible. And the bathrooms were out of toilet paper. Fortunately, I always bring my own. Nice area though.

It was ok, but I was expecting more privacy. People were making a lot of noise and some capers were riding a moped on the trail. Kinda disturbing and disrespectful to other campers.
