Port a pottys SPOTLESS and well maintained. Have noticed there is at least ONCE a Ranger patrol car going through the site. Excellent location for a variety of adventures.

We camp here every year. I don't want to promote it as I like the little secret. If you're looking for bathrooms, showers and other amenities, this isn't for you. This is a campers paradise. Awesome bike trail on one side and and the river on the other. Huge site, secluded. We love it.

We really enjoyed hanging out with our friends and walking the tow path.

Beautiful view from our campsite. We’ve been camping there the same weekend for several years, and we are used to the trains.

Group site is great, away from the the other sites and tons of space and trees. There are gunshots throughout the evening from hunters, but overall very peaceful

One of our favorite sites. Beautiful location between the Potomac and the C&O canal.

I hate to advertise it, but this is one of the best camping sites Ive been to and I've camped everywhere. Its also kept up very well. Kudos to those who raked around the fire pit, cleaned the bathroom 10min before we got there and made our weekend amazing.

Beautiful site, the port-a-potties were well maintained. We will definitely be back. The only downside was having to pack out our trash. Driving it 3 hours home was not ideal. I wish there was a facility I could have dropped it off at closer to the campsite.

Gorgeous location, great price. We camped at the group campsite, which had plenty of room for the kids to run around. There was only one other campsite that was occupied, during our stay in the middle of January. They played loud music but we were far enough away that we were not disturbed by their music and (hopefully) they were not disturbed by our loud kids.

Why not 5 stars? THE TRAINS!!! They barely ran at all, during the day. But from 10:30pm - 3:30am, they ran every 30 minutes, BOTH nights (Monday and Tuesday). Now, if you are a deep sleeper this won't bother you. But, if it takes you longer than 5 minutes to fall asleep think twice about camping here, unless you have Benadryl. Ear plugs didn't work. Even my kid, who I thought sleeps through everything, was woken up by the trains the first night. Second night, she slept all the way through, exhausted after playing so hard. It's such a shame because the location is fantastic and the setting is so beautiful.
