Park was great, amazing hosts (April 2023). Such wonderful and knowledgeale couple. Park/site were very clean and tidy. Loop was very quiet for the entire week I was there. I tent camped in D141 and everything was great except the very high sloping of the ground to the pad and TICKS. I had to setup the 14 person tent on the pad as it did not fit anywhere else comfortably. Problem with it was the steep slope was right outside the front door. Needless to say, there were several sore ankles at the end of the trip. On the plus side, I was better off on the pad as the ticks were alive and well everywhere in the park. They seem to have been falling off the trees and you had to check yourself every few minutes. Besides that, great time at Greenbelt.

We just stayed 2 weeks and it was just reopened after being closed since Covid. We were very disappointed with the uncleaned, rundown bathrooms. Filled with cobwebs and black moldy stall doors. Ants in the sink and on the walls the entire stay it was never cleaned and trash was never emptied. There wasnt a nice outside sink for doing dishes like most campgrounds have. There was a door in the back of the restroom it had a sink in there but it was so disgusting that doing dishes there was not happening. As far as your site goes everything has to be on the paved driveway so measure your vehicle and your camper the paved driveways are not very long. The hosts come as soon as you get to your site so be prepared for the interruption while your trying to set up. Its very tight here for large campers. Water spickets are very sparse so check for their location before setting up if you need to fill your tank. If your just staying to visit DC it is a very convenient place but very small and a basic campground. It says its about 10 miles to DC which sounds great and that it great but driving to DC is about 45 minutes during non rush hours. As far as walking to the metroNot happening but that is about a 10-15 minute drive to college park metro. Parking is 4.95 Monday - Friday and free on Saturday and Sunday we thought that was a great deal. This campground does not have electricity so keep in mind most people are running generators and some are loud. If your coming for a quiet camping trip think again if your coming to site see bring a radio!
