Got a call about and hour before check in from ranger. My original spot was unavailable due to maintenance. I had concerns of other sites being large enough for us to fit. He assured us that we could come thorough and pick a desired site that was available. Easy process and found a suitable option. Loved the close proximity to DC and the available trails to walk at! Much appreciated and will return again.

Greenbelt is a hidden beauty in the midst of an urban setting. It's amazingly quiet for its location. You are surrounded by nature yet close to public transportation to easily visit downtown DC area and the national monuments.

We accidentally pulled into the wrong camping spot across the road from the spot wed reserved. There were very few campsites occupied and it was nearly dark. The campground host would not allow us to stay overnight in the sIte where we were parked and set up even though there was no reservation for that site for the day we were there. It was an annoyance to have to pack up and move across the road to the site wed reserved.

Lots of ticks... grass was high. Overall we had a nice stay.

Nice campground close by Washington DC (thus great place to stay with an RV or tent if you're planning to go for a day-trip into the city) while also being quiet enough to enjoy nature. Very friendly staff, good amenities. Would definitely come back!

This campground is a great place to stay if youre planning to visit Fallingwater. Its peaceful and private, with large campsites. The electric hookup at our site worked perfectly and the restrooms/showers were kept clean and functional, and it was nice to be able to use the communal dishwashing sink in the bathroom. However I found it less than perfect that there was only one water pump for a dozen or so campsites and it was a bit of a walk to get water. We were there in May and I would definitely recommend it for that time of year. The little runoff brook next to our site was charming.

Greenbelt campground is a jewel to be so close to DC and still provide a national park camping experience. Enjoyed the campfire circle experience there.

The campground is in a great location, very safe and secluded. The Park Police station is at the entrance to the park so lots of police presence.

The METRO is approximately 2 miles from the Greenbelt station which will take you downtown to the Archives Station, a perfect location to access the National Mall and located directly behind the Nat. Archives

The bathrooms are old and definitely need an upgrade. Only one (1) shower per bathroom. The bathrooms were never cleaned the twelve days we were there. Ended up cleaning the shower ourselves.

Nice campground, with nice toilets and showers. However, very dark in the evening and at night.

We used this campground as a base for sightseeing in the D.C. area. It is a ten minute drive (or 2 mile walk) to the College Park metro stop. There is a parking deck at the metro station. Campground is wooded. You can hear some traffic, but really don't feel like you are surrounded by city.

We were so excited to find this peaceful campground right near the heart of DC! Clean, quiet and close to everything we needed! Our family hopes to stay again very soon!
