Bills near the camp was very helpful. The original weather report was low to mid 90s. Bills was a refuge for more pounds of ice and gallons of water. The camp site is barebones. The toilets are disinfected regularly. The water is at a pump, iodinated, and recommended to be boiled before consuming. You must carry out your trash. Lots of trail bikers. Simple hike. Creek is near by.

We selected a great campsite but considered it expensive for being a primitive campground. Mostly quiet no idiots with radios despite being a holiday weekend. Very busy boat ramp nearby, but the river was clean and refreshing after a hot humid bike ride. The Little Orleans Campground campstore was within a mile and was welcome for ice cream and last minute necessities. Will definitely be back.

It’s a very pretty spot on a bluff above the boat ramp. We had site 6 which is closest to the river. Toilets were quite clean and had paper. The downsides: sites don’t have privacy, no trees between; area gets busy with boaters, swimmers, bikers all around.

To put it briefly: a clean and safe-feeling camp ground. A picnic table, grill, and fire pit with each site & clean shared facilities (that even had toilet paper stocked!!!) Some sites had a great view of the river & the entire campground had direct access to a nice trail for walking/biking. On our weekend, other campers included couples and families from the DC area, we felt very safe & enjoyed the folks around us.

The App works really well, and I especially appreciate the fact that I can change sites after arriving. This campsite is perfect if you want to do some riding or hiking on the C&O Canal. It’s by the river, and very peaceful and well kept.
