Quiet campground with everything you need close by. Easy stay for access to everything that all of Mammoth Cave has to offer.

The caves were beautiful, the wheel chair accessible one that had and elevator for my mom to go was not working so she was not able to see them but my daughter and I did the frozen Niagara falls and it was so cool.

I would rate this campground excellent except for the lack of showers. There were showers behind the campers store but were in great need of updating and overall cleanliness. Also these were not free. The coin machines looked to be quite ancient. They did work and the water was warm enough. The bathrooms in the campgrounds were kept very clean while we were there.

Always one of our favorites. Wish they would make pull thrus more big rig friendly

Mammoth Cave National Park Campground is always our go-to first choice when camping season arrives, and we strive to get our favorite pull-thru site when making our seasonal reservations. Friendly staff, clean sites, and clean restroom facilties. We always appreciate that campground quiet-time hours are observed by fellow campers.

The campground was great. We tried to use the pay shower with quarters in the campground store but got their with our dollars but the change machine wasn't working. You have to make reservations ahead of time for the cave tours. We will be better prepared next time.

One of our fav national parks. My only complaint was I wish they sold firewood at the camp store.

Great campground. Quiet, fairly empty, and convenient location

The campsites are nice and the location is very convenient. There's two things that I wish they did differently

1: Be aware that showers cost money and you need cash. There's a change machine to get quarters to run the showers, but it's super annoying that despite the toilets that are easily available in the campground you have to go to the front and pay to shower.
2: The picnic tables are concrete so they're neither comfortable to sit on nor able to be moved.

Besides those, it's a pleasant, well-maintained campground with a convenient little store at the front and a 5 minute drive to the visitor center where the tours are.

We really enjoyed staying here. It was nice and cool, great place to start a fire, there were many spots, and it was so nice to enjoy the outdoors. A doe was very friendly and we even saw her fawn nursing on her. The only negative was with a 5th wheel and pickup, the paved part was not quite wide and long enough. It was our cheapest and our most favorite place to stay.

The RV and tent campsites are mixed, and the RV parked next to our tent made a lot of noise since it arrived. Besides, the storm water made the campground all wet, and we ended up to camping on the drive way.

Nice clean campgrounds with clean bathrooms. The park itself is huge with tons to explore. The cave self-guided tour was nice and they have rangers stationed throughout to make sure you don't wander off and to answer any questions. Although I will definitely return to get a guided tour when they are available again. The main Mammoth Cave Campground was still pretty busy with lots of children so if you want something quieter consider the group campground or something farther away. Also be sure to make reservations early!
