We appreciated that the campground stayed open even during the shut down. Mammoth Cave campground is a beautiful place to camp.

Sites were crowded & close, no privacy, no power, no cell coverage, kinda fell in the dark. Staff was very pleasant & easy to work with, felt very welcome. Sites were a little outdated.

We had a great stay here. A nice, quiet, clean campground, within walking distance of the visitor center with the cave entrance.

I camped in the tent sites, visited the Visitor Center, and took Grand Ave Tour & Historic Tour on 11/5. Both Tours were led very well by the Rangers & visiting Archeologists. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I also went to the Green River Ferry tour that day, but I and two other visitors never saw a tour leader, so we went on our own on trail (not sure what happened here). The Rangers I encountered in Visitor Center & on trail were to a woman and man, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and professional! Great campground & I enjoyed collecting deadwood & had some ‘bricks’ from the store (the woman there was a joy!). Thanks, I would definitely come back to visit!

In the context of COVID19 restrictions, my family enjoy our time at Mammoth Cave National Park. We camped in the primary campground close to the visitor center and had a great time. The campground is a standard national park campground, which is to say well maintained, with generally good campsites. My only negative comment is the prices for the cave tours. The tours are highly truncated due to Covid19 restrictions, but the prices are the same or nearly the same. The price of the tours should be heavily discounted because the tours are self-guided and include less than half the normal route.
