Awesome tours (Domes & Dripstones and Historical) and great tour guides for both of them. I did worry about the D&D tour having so many steps, but there were never so many at one time that it felt like it was strenuous at all. In fact, in my opinion, the Historical was a little harder than the D&D due to the amount of steps at one time right at the end. The only thing I regret is that I stayed 2 days to do the cave tours and didn't realize the beauty of this park on the surface. I missed out on some exceptional hiking trails. Will definitely have to come back.

Great location for going into the Cave. There is a path from the campground to the visitor's center.

Mammoth Cave National Park was a delight. The campsite is located in a very wooded area and felt very rustic. it was a short walk to the visitor center and to cave tours. We thoroughly enjoyed our five nights stay and really enjoyed the cave tours. The Rangers were pleasant and knowledgeable. There was a dump station and water next to the campground at the campground store.

A lot of campsites are crowded with others, and finding a level one is a challenge. Loop B is best, but closes early.

Our site was spacious, and our location kept us somewhat isolated from other campers in the loop, affording us more quiet than we expected over a holiday weekend.

The Mammoth Cave Campground is very clean and well cared for. A recent storm caused significant damage but park workers did a great job opening the campground to all.

Lovely campground within walking distance of the visitor center and a ton of gorgeous trail systems. Bathroom facilities were clean, and the sites were spread out enough that you weren't right on top your neighbors. Nice big pull in for my car, and a sturdy stone picnic table. Theresa's unfirtunately a fire restriction when we visited, but the fire rings all looked well maintained. Loved the more woodsy feel, and was especially beautiful in the fall! Never got in to see the general store, but it looked like they offered quite a few amenities or little things like food/gear if you forgot something.

Beautiful hiking trails right from the campground. Unfortunately there was a fire ban when we were there.

The cave and Tours are absolutely fantastic ... the campground is decent with a few exceptions. First know that every shower you take will cost you $4-$8 depending on how long you take in the shower... the camp store is only open til 5pm on weekdays and 7pm on weekends so make sure you get your fire wood and showers before then. the sites are all fairly good depending on your tent size but no electricity unless you are in an RV lot. There is plenty to do inside the grounds not just the cave system, but also lots of awesome trails and things to do in and around the park. prices are fairly decent nothing to gougey. All in all a great time as long as you remember the few exceptions and are prepared.

Mammoth Cave Campground was such a great place to stay. The camp store was convenient, the bathrooms were clean, and the spots were very level. Although there are a lot of camping spots, it was still very quiet at night. We also enjoyed the fire rings which had cooking grates on them. We even had WiFi at the campsite (we were in spot 90 which was pretty close to the entrance, bathrooms, and camp store). The park itself is gorgeous, and the surrounding activities are fun, too. We did the Crystal Onyx Cave and we went kayaking with Adventures at Mammoth Cave. With the kayaking trip, we got to kayak for 3 hours inside the park. So cool!

Enjoyable, relaxing, verdant & well-maintained campground. Walking distance to Visitor Center, cave tours & great hiking. Visitors should take the Green River car ferry for the fun of it & to access more great trails. Honestly, the forests of the Park are some off the nicest, lushest we have hiked in five summers of RV camping across the US. Oh, and the Cave was interesting, too.

The bathrooms were kept spotless. It was impressive that the firepits were cleaned out upon arrival and how wonderful to have showers and a camp store available to campers. Great job!!

A semi-rustic and well maintained campground. The bathrooms were clean and easy to access. The recycling options were appreciated. The Ranger was very welcoming and provided is with all the necessary information. Our campsite was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed speaking with other campers and being able to relax in a wonderful park. Thank you.

There was no water at the waist water dump station for flushing out or refill tank. Was told to use the fresh water! You never use the fresh drinking to fill the black water tank. Easy to contaminate the fresh water for others.
