Super convenient campground for seeing Mammoth Cave, well maintained.

We stayed 7 nights in early October. The park is shady (so shady that we had trouble using our solar chargers), quiet, peaceful, and dark at night. There were deer wandering through daily, and we heard owls and coyotes at night. If you bring a hatchet, there is plenty of wood nearby to use for fires without needing to buy any. It was a delightful place to stay!

This was our first stop on a 3000 mile road trip with two kids under 4 years old! Our site was amazing! Spacious, private feeling, yet still close to the bathrooms! The giant felled tree separating our only next door neighbor was our kids favorite part and I loved watching them be able to explore!

The campground was quiet and beautiful! The restroom facilities were nice and the camp store had a great selection of essentials. Will definitely be back!

Amazing spot. Amazing campground. Sites are a good size, but you'll still be close to neighbors. Close to the visitor center and caves. The store is convenient for any last minute needs, ice, etc. The general store did run out of firewood, which was frustrating, but otherwise it was a great visit.

Campsite was spacious and well maintained, facilities were clean. The fireflies at night were the best part!

Great campground! Sites were well spaced. Bathrooms well maintained (no shower). Right around the corner from Mammoth Cave. May want to pick up firewood on the drive in to save time. Stayed for one night and would definitely book again.

Loop C is not ideal for tent camping, many sites are not level and there are frequently numerous RVs that run the motors and generators. Several of the sites in Loop C have significant erosion issues make the sites less than ideal. The staff are all very kind and pleasant, but one has to really advocate for any needs. The visitor center is amazing as is the cave. The ranger led tour of the cave is more of a walk with an occasional tidbit from a ranger that on the whole was underwhelming. Trails are clearly marked and well maintained.

Campground is beautiful with large sites and short walk to visitors center, cave entrance and and hikes. I highly recommend the campground

Nice campground providing access to Mammoth Cave with wooded sites. Lots of nice hikes available from the campground. Very nice gravel bicycle trail. A very few of the pull through campsites are quite close to each other.
