Hiking trails begin right at the campground, easy walk to cave tours, restaurant and other amenities. Love it!

The site was a bit muddy (rained a lot). While we cannot control the weather, it would be nice to have landscaping that had better drainage. Lots of puddles and mud. The bathrooms were very clean and lighting to get there was most appreciated. It would have been nice to have showers in the bathroom, rather than having to drive to the entrance in order to shower. I also do not appreciate having to pay extra for the showers. It was nice to be near enough to walk to the caves and overall we had a great time.

We are new to camping and really enjoyed the campground at Mammoth Cave. It was quiet and clean. The only thing that we didn't like was that there were no showers. It's possible that they were in a different part of the campground, but the restroom near our site did not have showers.

Nice campground, well spaced spots. Well lit path to the bathroom. Only complaint is that the restroom near our campsite had one stall out of order the whole time. Led to some waits on occasion. Overall, would recommend this site to others.

Quiet campground at this time of year. Probably 2/3 full, but everyone was pretty quiet. Deer and turkeys wandering through our campsite. Showers were very nice (hot) and a good value for the money. Camper store is kind of an overpriced joke with short hours, but carries a good variety for those unprepared. Camp sites were clean and well spaced. Fire rings cleaned out after each camper departs. Good value for the money…love being so close to the visitor center and tours.

I asked ahead what would be open due to covid-19. Showers were closed but I brought a pop up shower so it was fine. The only complaint I have was I didn't see rangers come through at night. The people next to us had their generator going all night. 10pm is the noise curfew. It was not a peaceful nights rest. Other than that it was a very nice campsite. Close to the trails and the cave.

Campground was so peaceful at 30% capacity! Only issue was that the showers were closed due to covid. NPS really needs to rethink that. Cleanliness reduces the spread of disease! Also, our campsite was covered in lone star ticks. We've camped here before and that was not the case, but it was quite bad. I'll probably never get the wife to camp here again.
