Fascinating and educational experience. The Tour guides were great. The camp ground was very nice, peaceful and quiet and beautiful. However the camp store is a joke, and they're rude @ssholes

What a wonderful campground! Very close to the bathrooms, which were extremely clean (and air conditioned, so nice in the heat!). Water easy to get for camp. Used campstore to purchase ice. A doe came thru our campsite, much to the delight of my kid!

Very well-maintained lot. Close to the main road into the campground and restrooms/trash facilities. We were camping in a tent, and this loop has RV camping, so be aware that many turn on their generators at 8 am. If you are a light sleeper, you might prefer a spot in Loop A, which is only tents.

Great tour and fun at the campground even though it rained.

It was a beautiful national park and it was very conveniently layed out so everything was easy to get to. Would recommend.

Beautiful campsite with amenities within walking distance. Clean and well kept facilities. Would suggest bringing change for showers, washer and dryer, and vending machine as the nearest atm is a 15 mun drive.

We had a great stay at Mammoth Cave, with some caveats. The staff were all very professional and friendly in the campground and visitor center. Our campsite was great. Unfortunately there were a lot of people gathering wet firewood & attempting to burn it, so the air was incredibly smoky at night. Inexperienced, or just too cheap to buy firewood? Either way, water-logged wood and fresh leaves don't make for a good campfire ;) We also had a great hike, and did a cave tour. This is where my experience soured a bit. Too many daily tours back to back means you are hustled through without being able to actually sit for a moment and take it all in. Tour guide was great, but the park ranger pulling up the rear was rude. And a huge tour of people also meant if you were at the front (tour guide rec for slower folks), people behind you shoved and pushed; if you were at the back (tour guide rec for fast walkers), the ranger refused to let you stop to even glance at something. Just charge an entrance fee to the park and space out the tours. I felt like I was being herded angrily along. Much different experience at Carlsbad, where you can meander and, gasp!, sit down and be inspired.

We were late to get tickets to the cave online and they were all full, but were lucky to grab an open tour day we got there. get cave tickets earlyThe campground was nice, The bathrooms close to our site were closed in middle march, but the bathrooms behind the camp store were nice. and heated! There were coin showers ($2 for 5 minutes) and laundry too. The camp store was well stocked if you needed any extra food or emergency replacement camping gear.

Everything was good with the campsite. The washroom was acceptable, but somewhat on the small size given the size of the campground.

Nice campsites and very close to visitors center. There was nothing to sit on around the fire pits so bring something. There was some trash in the fire pit but nothing to complain about otherwise.

It was a great campground. Very close to cave tours. But we were disappointed in the hours of the campground store. They were only open until 7pm and to get to another store outside of the park would of taken about 45 mins. They should really look into keeping the store open longer!

Much too crowded, should have ore space between camp sites.

Very nice campground located right in the heart of the park activities. Short walk to visitors center and historic cave entrance. Nice sized sites with fire rings. Staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.
