Campsite is clean and spacious; bathrooms clean. Showers were quarter fed, but not bad. I've made a point out of visiting every National Park I can- this one was not a wasted trip. A short walk to the visitor center and main cave entrance made it so convenient, probably more so than any other NP I've ever been to. Not much available on way in for firewood, and, if you arrive after hours there is none to find. Minor inconvenience, available in the camp store. I think this may have been one of my better visits due to the convenience of everything. Park and enjoy!

We really loved the campground. This particular site had easy access to the hike and bike trail which was great for our kids and riding bikes. The main road to the visitor center does run next to the hike and bike trail and during the day cars can be a bit loud, but at night the campground is so peaceful and quiet!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & visit to mammoth cave. The campground was very clean. We loved seeing deer walk right by us one evening. The cave was a once in a lifetime experience. Weve already talked about coming back and staying longer next time!

Love having the national Park basically to ourselves once the daytime tourists go home. Really enjoyed the Violet City lantern tour. Great to see more of the caves this year

I was in two sites due to availability. The first one was listed as slightly uneven. I think it was more than slightly uneven. The second one was perfect - easy to back into and level.I did not sign up for any major tours, but did walk down to the original cave. From there I walked down, down, down to the River Styx. Very nice!! I came back up on the trail just above there. It was nice and easy to walk up - 100 steps and 10 deep breaths got me to the top. I was glad to walk back to the campground as I was a bit out of shape and tired.

Camping area is very nice and shaded. There is plenty of hiking trails in the park but do need to book ahead for the cave tours.

The campground was Covid Aware as every other campsite was blocked off and the tours were social distant and mask strongly encouraged.

Our spot was not level. It took too much to level front to back. The picnic table was on the wrong side. Over half the spots were closed for covid. Some of those were the best spots. Other national campground we stayed in did not close camping spots.
