The park was easy to find, had very clear instructions posted at the entrance when I arrived after hours, and the sites were well mapped and marked. The campground was clean and well designed. My visit was pleasant and enjoyable and I really appreciate how accessible it was!

I find it interesting when you compare the different caves throughout the USA and the world. The tour was of the cave was very good despite the fact there were 120 people (half from a school). The guide was good and handle the large crowd perfectly. I also did a morning (8:15) free ranger talk. The ranger was VERY knowledgeable about caves. The campground was nice, clean, but no frills. Water was nearby. Not all the sites are flat/level but we managed.

Loved these campsites. We booked our campsite last minute, and were there on quite a busy weekend. We had a truck with a rooftop tent on the back, and we fit fine. It was easy to find the campground and our campsite. The bathrooms are just in walking distance of all the campsites too. Loved our time there, and would definitely go back!

This review is specific to the COVID-19 restrictions that occurred during our visit, and may not apply to future campers.Upon arrival, I was flabbergasted to find that there were no showers available whatsoever due to "COVID-19" restrictions at this individual park. Additionally, the entire laundry facility was closed for the same purpose. Neither closure was clearly listed on their campground website when we were booking our stay just a day before. Had we known that showers and laundry were closed, we would have booked a stay at a private campground instead. In an effort to stop the spread of germs, they completely prevent campers from being able to clean themselves and their clothes? This is the most backward logic one could fathom. We were on a 37-day trip in which we visited 10 National Parks and stayed at several of their campgrounds. No other National Park Campground we visited boarded up their shower and laundry facilities. Yet despite the unsensible closure of the showers and laundry, EVERY SINGLE GIFT SHOP at Mammoth Cave was open! EVERY SINGLE ONE! I came across at least 3 gift shops, and all of them were open and full of shoppers. It is clear that Mammoth Cave has quite the hypocritical policy regarding how they handle COVID. If they can make money, they leave it open. If they can't, they shut it. It is asinine.
