Tent only camping lot 007 was perfect for two tents and two cars. Close to restrooms and pretty view to the back.

Beautiful, clean campground. Relatively large sites. Alot of trees for shade. Comfortable. Site was clean, flat for a tent, nice fire ring. Camp store staff helpful with ice, wood, coffee. Bathrooms really clean. Showers were minimal. Small, old but clean.

The entire experience was amazing. The only draw back were the Pay Showers. Bring lots of quarters!

Mammoth Cave campgrounds are great. They are close to the visitor center and a general store where you can take showers (for money) and do some quick shopping. We were here during a heat wave so being able to take some cave tours during the hotter hours of the day was a lifesaver. There is canoeing/kayaking near by (if the river isn't too high or low) and lots of cave exploring both in the park and at nearby locations. We had a great time and were pleasantly surprised at the amenities.

Was disappointed in the fact there were no showers in the actual campground and the ones close by you had to pay for. It was $1.50 for 4 minutes which is NOT enough time fully clean yourself. Besides that I did enjoy the campground and being close to the visitors center. Saw lots of wildlife during my stay here. It did rain as well and my site was pretty level so no big puddles and thats always nice not having to worry about.

I have here for just a night but it did not disappoint. There are a lot of deer so be careful driving on the roads at dawn and dusk. I had a deer within 3 feet of my tent unfazed by me at 2am. Very quiet and amazing wildlife nearby. I heard owls, insects and coyotes at night. I plan on camping here again.

Camp sites were clean, well patrolled, and well organized. Park rangers are kind and have a great sense of humor. Access to water was easy and availability of showers and laundry is a good bonus... but don't forget cash/coins! Showers still coin operated.I do wish bathrooms were cleaned a little more frequently, but note that things stay tidier on nights when the sites are less filled so its probably a traffic/volume issue.I've camped here many times over the years and keep coming back. Always a good experience.

Clean, close and flat. A bit close to the main road to the vcenter, but not much traffic noise once the sun goes down.

I really enjoy the cave, especially the brief moment that every light darks out. It was a precious experience. Will definitely come back!

The campground itself was lovely, but there was zero staff support in getting into the sites. Someone else was set up in a site I'd booked six months ahead of time and there was no one to contact on-site (and no cell reception), so I ended up squatting in another site that hopefully didn't displace someone else.
The educational rangers at the center were the best we've ever had, but the camping confusion was the worst.
