Great, clean CG. No opportunity to use solar panels. Cavers store had a few items, no fresh fruit/veggies. Easy walk from CG to Visitor Center to take guided cave tours. Bring your Senior Pass to the VC for your 50% discount on cave tours. It is a great National Park!

The campground location is awesome. The drawbacks that per loop of many people, there are only 2 sinks, one toilet and 2 urinals (one broken). Also there are only 3 very old showers for the whole campground without any changing booths. You pretty much change in the middle of the open restroom. These defiantly need to be renovated and upgraded. The cave tours are awesome and there is plenty to do in area, e.g. horseback riding, hiking, haunted houses, zoo. It is defiantly worth a visit.

We forgot to pack coffee, so we were very grateful there was a pot going at the store near the entrance.

We just needed to stay one night but will definitely be back. The sites were well spaced and lovely. The one improvement I would like to see is a utility sink. It really helps in a no hook-up site.

The price is good for what's offered - there are plenty of bathhouses and they are all very clean. The campsites are very big and there is plenty of privacy. The coin showers are fine and a fair price, extra star for the available laundry machines and post office!

Mammoth Cave National Park was a wonderful and surprising experience. The cave/s are amazing. Booking a cave tour turned out to be difficult and unfortunately we missed being able to enjoy one of the longer guided tours. Unlike the 6 months out camping reservations, the Cave tour reservations were not easy to navigate or figure when and what would be available. However we were pleasantly surprised by the self-guided tour and the availability of Rangers inside the caves to answer all of our questions. The Rangers were great!! As we passed one of the guided tours on our way out we felt our cave experience with just a handful of other self-guided folks was perhaps a better experience then being in such a massive group of people. The campground sites were large and comfortable, and though you must pay to use the showers there, the water was HOT and wonderful! Thank you to all the Rangers who made our trip educational and fun.

Pros: Very spacious campsites, clean, quiet, great hiking and exploring options. Cons: showers a bit far for some and you need change. The bio wood firewood is a disaster. It doesn't burn, just smolders.

Overall I really enjoyed staying here and will be back to spend more than one night.

The campground itself was great, clean, and well maintained. We had some less than stellar neighbors, but they eventually decided to turn their headlights off. The bathrooms and showers were clean and easily accessible. I highly recommend this campground.

Great place to camp. Right next to the cave system. Had a lot of fun with the family.

I loved this place. Although the campsites aren't particularly private, they're huge enough that it doesn't really matter. Immaculately maintained flush toilets, showers and laundry available, a market and post office, an outstanding visitors center, a hotel with a restaurant and other food outlets, the always top-notch NPS staff, nightly ranger programs even before high-season....what's not to love about this place? The only drawback was that, due to Covid, most of the cave system wasn't accessible. They did the very best they could, with rangers on duty throughout the roughly one-mile of the cave that was open, but it wasn't really the "Mammoth Cave Experience."

Which just means I'll have to go back and have another great time!

Nice campground, clean facilities, friendly park rangers that patrol the area keeping you safe. Lots of great gravel hiking trails that go down to the Green River and over to Mammoth Cave Historic Entrance. There are other trails that allow bicycles but I only saw those from the road. Potable water and disposal station near the Camp Store is very convenient for "dry camping" in you RV. Other fresh water spigots available near restrooms. We enjoyed our stay and hope to go back soon.
