Our campsite (Site 97) was clean and shaded and perfectly located for getting around the park as a whole. Bathrooms were clean and well-cared-for and water was easy to get from spigots around the campground. The showers at the camp store were nice and hot and pretty clean overall, too. Not a huge selection of stuff at the camp store, but enough to get you by if needed. We got food, firewood, and ice at an IGA in Cave City and that worked great. The fire rings all had removable grates and were cleaned out regularly. Lots of wildlife, so make sure to pack out your trash and put food in a car or other secure location when you're not eating! With T-Mobile, we didn't have any cell service anywhere in the park which was a bonus for us because kid quickly realized asking to do anything on the phone was useless and got settled into camping more quickly than usual. There was wifi at the camp store and visitor center so we could check directions and make reservations as needed, but it definitely isn't the speediest in the world, so you probably won't be using it to watch movies or anything. If you have a kid between the ages of 8 and 12, the Trog Tour is a must-do so look it up and book in advance! We had a great time exploring the park as a whole and the cave. There were ranger talks at the amphitheater each night around 7:00 (height of summer season) that also really helped us learn more about the area and its history. In our family, everyone's favorite tour was the Domes and Dripstones tour, but we also really enjoyed to Onyx Cave lantern tour for something completely different.

This was a pretty good established campground. It was nice having bathrooms nearby, and the camp store with the showers and laundry was clutch. A nice surprise with the post office. Lots of wildlife, including some very vocal turkeys at 6 AM. Being able to walk over to the visitor center was really nice as well.

Well kept campground tucked among the trees. Paths are well marked and restrooms are spotless

Our campsite D097, was alright, but is downhill from the other sites, making it prone to flooding when it rains (which happened during our stay). The water has also caused significant erosion around the parking pad leading to a drop off of up to a foot to ground level. Still a serviceable site, but could use some restoration work. Bathrooms were good. Wish the trash dumpsters were a little closer.

The camping grounds were clean and beautiful. The bathrooms were clean and well equipped. The paths were nicely lit at night. The only drawback was the showers which you have to pay to use, are old and are located quite far away from the camp sites.

Campsite was great, cave tour excellent. Coin showers a pain to use but otherwise OK

The spot we were in was quite uneven and on an odd small loop. So many campfires that you breathed smoke through the night.

Grounds are nice. Lots of campers. The showers and laundry require quarters, and there is no ATM, but there is a change machine that will give you change for $1 and $5. The camp grocery store has great little breakfast sandwiches too.

I have two complaint: One is how loud the RV generator was across from us. They did turn off at 8 PM, but it was very loud until then. Also, the bathrooms were not clean. I refused to shower in the women’s bathroom because it was so gross. The site itself was clean. We had a nice fire and the fireflies were out.

The campground was quiet and peaceful. Water, restrooms, and shower were nearby. I liked that this campground was within walking distance of the visitor center. We (2 adults, 1 seven year old, and two five year olds) took the Cleaveland Ave tour and enjoyed it a lot. Wish we had planned to stay another day for more cave touring.

Ranger Jerry presented a highly connected and excellently delivered Historical Cave Tour. We knew the tour was going to be amazing as soon as he addressed the crowd in Shelter A for the pre-tour briefing. He is a treasure for MCNP. We think the tour was over populated and even half the number of participants would have been too many people.

The campground is monitored and well maintained. Facilities were also of good quality and clean.

Ranger Sanchez presented on the Biodiversity of the Green River on our first of two nights. She commanded an age-diverse audience with varying degrees of information applicable to all attendees.

We observed fresh bear scat (full of berry seeds) on the Big Hollow Trail North Loop; no actual bear sighting. Be bear aware, bear smart, and act appropriately to respect nature and practice self preservation.

The ferry was closed, so we had to drive all the way around the park to the trailhead, but that allowed us to tour a bit of the countryside by car.

Four of us had site 91 from May 22nd to May 29th of 2021. We had enough room for two rather large tents and put a canopy over the cement picnic table. Loved the site, table, fire ring and pull-through drive, which was big enough for our two SUVs. Park staff was great. Bathrooms were nice and well-maintained. Our only complaint was the dated, coin-operated, tiny showers.

My partner and I were really impressed with the facilities around the campground. Additionally, the cave was phenomenal, highly recommend it! We were impressed with how the park was handling COVID protocol and felt completely safe the entire time we were there.

Awesome campground with great proximity to the Visitor Center, Camp Store, and hiking trails. Site #97 is right on the trail that connects all these features. We were there when it was raining, but we’re still able to enjoy the trails and found a covered table by the camp store. So much fun!!
