The campground was really nice. There was a lot of debris on the ground from the previous fall, but otherwise the our campsite was well-maintained. The on-site camp store was a great convenience, and the bathrooms/showers were nice and regularly cleaned.

The group campsites were closed and they allowed two Scout troops to take three sites of the smaller campsites. We were next to one of the sites, which had 18 people and seven tents. They were loud, walking across our campsite to the bathroom day and night, parking in our spot and barely fit on their site. The campground was full, so I couldn't change sites. Our stay prior to the Scout troop was peaceful and good. As more and more people unloaded and put up tents, it felt like I paid to be in a tent city. Very unpleasant. If there's no group in the normal sites, it's a wonderful campground. It's clean, has good amenities and kind campground hosts. Having trails starting from the campground was great also. Hopefully, the park doesn't accommodate a group like that again though.

Enjoyed our long weekend at Mammoth Caves. We werent able to go on our guided cave tours (gov shut down) but we plan to come back again for that experience!

Our experience could have been better had the tours not been such a rush, the guides were worried about time rather than details.

Enjoyed camping in a tent, hiking the trails & the trails were well marked. Be sure to take a compass & map because it was needed + food & water. The tours were cool. The $1.50 showers for 4 - 1/2 minutes & $0.25 for an extra 30 seconds was a challenge.

The camp and facilities were clean and well kept. It was great being within walking distance to the camp store, showers, and visitor center. We enjoyed seeing deer and other wild life around the area. A deer was even at our campsite when we first arrived. Food at the lodge was rather pricey, but delicious. Overall, we had a great time and would camp there again!
