Mid-April visit. Restroom was clean. Campground was relatively quiet. Be sure to book any tours well in advance.

We were in site 39, which sits up against the road coming into the park. We didn't have too much road noise, but I can imagine during the summer and busy weekends how there might be noise and headlights shining on your site at night. It was convenient to the bathrooms, without being too close. The kids rode their bikes (our group of friends had ages 5-14) to the camp store and the older ones to the visitor center. Firewood and ice were pricey, just FYI, but convenient to pick up at the camp store. The kids had SO MUCH fun riding bikes and going on the cave tour. The sites are close together, which for our purposes was Ok (we were tent camping with several friends and had pivoted from a group camp site on the NC border). I think site 38 might have had more privacy (there was an empty field across at least), but I think it might have backed up closer to the road (the road is not actually that close, but you can see headlights at night). We saw lots of deer in the campground and heard coyotes at night! Overall great experience, we would definitely come back and camp again.

Campground was clean and beautiful. Proximity to visitors center was a great bonus. We did the historic tour. If we had more time I would have done more tours.

Not for the tent camper who appreciates peace and quiet. Lots of RVs with lights and generators. Thought we picked a good spot but theres a road 30 feet away and the traffic starts at 5:45am.loud! The sites are pretty close together too. The bathrooms were very nice though. Very close to the visitors center and trails.

Quiet, clean campsite. The restrooms had A/C, a nice respite from 95 degree heat.

We had an awesome stay at Mammoth Cave Campground. Our camp site and fire pit were clean when we arrived. The campground perfectly located in walking distance from many hiking trails and the Visitor Center.
