Campsite was clean, bathrooms were clean and stocked with toliet paper, plenty of room for trash in the dumpster

I had been wanting to stay at Houchins Ferry for a few years and finally made it happen. We stayed at Campsite #10 which was really close to the other campsites but we knew that ahead of booking. We brought our kayaks and put in at Houchins Ferry and took out at Brownsville. It took a couple hours but the water was flowing and we did not have to do a lot of paddling. We also took a tour at Mammouth Cave and enjoyed a campfire each night. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable time!

Super chill, quiet, peaceful. Morning meditation on the river was amazing. Campground was well looked after, very tidy. Those of us came here to not be in a bustling campground, so every camper was full on board and delightful.

The sites were very close together, we could hear the campers next to us snoring and had a hard time sleeping. Nice and shady area with ample parking.

Shaded and mostly quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. The river is lovely.

Nice Campground. Enjoyed the stay. For what it is worth, the sites are arranged in a "J" with the long part of the J along the river. Sites 1-8 are on the "front row" nearest the river and are pretty open. The road begins to curve around with site 8, and 9-12 are more tucked into the trees. These 9-12 are a little bigger, more shaded/secluded, and are a great set up. There wasn't any firewood on site when we went, but there is a house just outside the campsite selling firewood... so, grab some before you go in.
