Sites 1-4 are terrible. They are positioned so close it's like you are eating dinner with your neighbor. The on-site portable toilet's were not well maintained. I would definitely not recommend staying here.

After arriving at the campground we were very disappointed with how close together the camp sites were to each other. We didn't use the camp site that we had reserved, but instead found a hotel to stay at.

Lovely campground, each site with a cement picnic table and fire pit. Beautiful views of the river, too. The only downside is that there is no accessible hiking or trails from this campsite and it's about a 20 minute drive to the main area of Mammoth Cave. We stayed in mid-February and had nice, crisp weather.

I love this campsite since it is small and simple. And also it is only 10 minutes away from town which it make me feel more safer. I know there is portable toilets which is fine with me but watch out for spiders and other bugs in there. And also I am surprised of how close the campsite are to each other. But it wasn't too bad. I would definitely come back here again in the future with my family. It is nice and quiet. Love it.

I showed up and there were people in my site. After working with other campers, it became obvious that there were multiple groups of locals squatting in sites. Not wanting to escalate anything (as there is little cell signal) myself and other legitimate campers just set up wherever we could find a spot. Quiet hours were not followed by the rowdy locals. More ranger presence would be nice. The sites themselves and the location is nice.

The campground itself was exactly what we wanted. Small, quiet, and quaint. The outdoor toilets were very clean and well maintained. The only downside was the access to the river. From the campsites there is only one access point at the little boat ramp at the entrance of the grounds. A little maintenance (weedeating or trail cutting) would be really nice to give better access to all the campsites

The areas a pretty close to the people on your left and right, but other than that the area is very relaxing and in a nice quiet spot. The river sits right behind the campsite and there is trees for shade. I would definitely go here again.
