Very peaceful and quiet campground. Enjoyed the lectures at the outdoor amphitheater. Very relaxing stay with nature.

The campground is laid out very conveniently. The only downside is the lack of showers within the campground.

Acadia, and especially Schoodic, is my favorite place to camp in US. The park service does a great job of keeping things moving smoothly in the face of so dang many visitors. I just wish more people took the buses!

The campground itself is fairly new with great cleanly facilities! The location cannot be beat! Take note. The pictures online are indeed the size of the sites. We thought they were on the smaller size. Our experience was hindered due to the fact upon arrival we could see right into the site behind ours, It is close and the vegetation has been eroded. They were young males up all hours of the night while we were looking for peace and quiet and most importantly privacy. The music they played was what we had to listen to. Great if you have friends camping with you! Not great in our case with a baby.

Great facilities. The majority of sites are well spaced and private. While Winter Harbor is small it is authentic. Take the ferry to Bar Harbor and see how busy it is and you be glad you stayed at Schoodic Woods! We booked for two nights but stayed the whole week. Only downside was this meant changing sites. Unfortunately too many sites are booked but never occupied which is very frustrating for those who want to take advantage of these excellent facilities. If you book, please turn up or have the manners to cancel so others can enjoy Schoodic Woods.

Schoodic woods campground was very well maintained. Very accessible, facilities were kept very clean and there were hiking trails accessible by foot from the grounds which was great for our group!

Excellent campground, spacious, well seperated sites. Much less crowded than main part of Arcadia NP. Nice loop road for cycling.
