Roomy sites. Not on top of each other, but spaced out nicely with greenery between. It was very quiet. The rules are meant to keep it that way. Loved that campground.

Very quiet campground with good spacing between sites. It was built 10 yrs ago, so everything is new and in good order. The free shuttle makes it workable for the few of us with small RVs-no tow/pull vehicle or bicycles. Taking the ferry (fog permitting) allows a brief visit to Bar Harbor. The hiking trails are great, and can be quite strenuous or easy when combined with the gravel bike paths, and, since the loop road is 2 lanes but one way, quite safe to walk in the reverse direction.Of course everyone wonders why the Park service didnt designed hot water & showers in the comfort stations.Since there is only 1 dump station which is combined with the water spigot for those in non serviced campsites, the line up in the morning can get longer than expected. Best to pull ahead if just filling with water.

Perhaps the best national park campground we have ever been in. Nice private, pull through sites with electric and water. Adequate dump station facilities, really efficient check in at ranger station. The Schoodic woods portion of Acadia national park is very nice and quiet. Good hiking trails

Wonderful campground with very large sites. The only issue was there are no showers and I dont recall seeing that listed anywhere when I made the reservations. The rangers were very gracious and had information about a nearby coin operated facility. Just beware - there is no sewer only water and electric.

Lovely, quiet sites. Just a short drive to where the waves splash up on the rocks. Lots of good restaurant options within a 10 minute drive. We particularly enjoyed the Wrinkled Pickle, The Gallery, The Treehouse, and Gerrish's.

Beautiful campground. Everything was in excellent and clean condition. Loved this area of Acadia. Stunningly beautiful and no crowds! Would have loved to have available showers in the campground.

A beautiful campground in a stunning setting. Great for hiking and biking both on the peninsula and at nearby locations (Downeast Sunrise Rec Trail, Black Mountain trails, etc). Campsites are generous in size, reasonably private and the “Dark Sky” at night is impressive. Our only suggestion would be for the campground to be open a little longer in the season. Foliage had not pirated when we left on Friday, October 9, and the campground closed the following Monday (night). We would prefer to stay the 2nd week in October, and nights are not cold enough to warrant closure. We’d be willing to go without water hookup, if needed, to get those extra fall days!

Beautiful quiet area, a nice blend of privacy with the option for community, near the attractions of Schoodic point & Institute and Downeast villages, good flat parking, friendly helpful staff, a thrush sang us a nighttime lullaby and a yellowthroat sang us a bright “good morning.”
