National Park Big Rig camping at its bestTheres not much I can add to previous reviews, other than to commend the planners on the quality of the B loop sites. Planning ahead and a bit of luck is required to enjoy this campground, we lucked out with a last minute cancellation. We definitely hope to return with better prior planning. Site 21 was well over 100 long, and totally screened from adjacent sites by established woods. Paved roads, level gravel, 50amp power, water, and a convenient dump station made for an amazing National Park experience. Friendly volunteers provided helpful local suggestions. After the crowds on Mount Desert Island, this section of Acadia was very enjoyable. Dark sky area, first view of the Milky Way in years. You can hike or drive nearly to the Schoodic Head summit. There are great views and few crowds. The loop road is good for cycling or driving, and should be done at both high/low tides as the views are very different.

Beautiful campground. Schoodic is much less crowded than Mount Desert Island, so it feels even more peaceful on this side of Acadia. To get to MDI and Cadillac Mountain, it is about an hour and 15 minutes to drive there from Schoodic. Sites are spaced out a bit, so it feels private. The bathrooms are kept very clean. I really wish they had showers available though. There is a dump station, so we were able to use our camper for showers but if you are tenting, you don't have that option.

The Schoodic Woods Campground was a wonderful place to relax and explore, I only wish we had been able to reserve more than one night. The spaces are easy to access and offer lots of private space as they are separated by trees. Looking forward to staying here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The sites were big and well spaced, providing privacy. We had water and electric, which was perfect, and a dump station on the way out. If you're camping in a tent, you'll need to know there are NO shower facilities here. A sponge bath is gonna be it for you!
This facility is well kept and the personnel we encountered were friendly and very informative.
Would definitely come back!!
